The Dink Network

I just downloaded TNH. When I try to load it, I get a blank (black) screen with "v 1.06" at the bottom center, and sound, but nothing else (i.e., no title screen, no Start, Continue, Quit options).

I've read the README file, so perhaps my equipment is not up to date, but everything is fairly new (Jan 2003), and all other Dink dmods work just fine.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you installed it correctly? Is there any scripts in the STORY directory?

Nevermind, i found the problem: The Dmod directory is in another directory, move it into the Dink Smallwood directory and it should work

That almost certainly is the problem. Say you installed TNH in
D:\Games\Dink Smallwood\TNH

Check if there's a folder named TNH inside the TNH folder. (D:\Games\Dink Smallwood\TNH\TNH)

If yes open it and move all the files to
D:\Games\Dink Smallwood\TNH

If that doesn't help then just download the new .dmod version of TNH and see if it doesn't work either.
