Quit without saving ?
Is it possible to "quit without saving" when creating a DMOD?
If you use DinkEdit, no. WinDinkEdit, yes.
If you really want to not save you can always pull the plug on your computer......

Actually, Ctrl Alt Del doesn't instantly cause the program to quit; it calls the program's quit function (and thus would save the map).
I can't figure out how to use WinDinkEdit.... To start with - where to unzip it?
I just make frequent backups of the d-mod I'm working on. If I screw up a room I can just copy it from the last version of the map.
From the ctrl alt delete menu, you can also stop processes run by the computer.
...right, and as I said before that doesn't terminate the process unless necessary. It calls the quit function of the program.
you guys are weird.
in dink edit, every time you hit esc from the screen to the big map (with all the purple squares) the map is saved. if you are on a screen and totally fudge something up, just press alt-f4.

Thank you joshriot, you saved my day!
You can even hit Alt+Tab and then Ctrl+Alt+Del. As long as you are not back on the main map screen (the purple and red one) you can quit without saving.
But I don't think we are wierdos for not knowing! Maybe just a little short of thinking sometimes.....
