I'm doing an alternate hero d-mod (I needed a break from Crosslink anyway) and I'm having some odd trouble. I've got one other the peasents using a bow. Of course they don't have bow graphics so U just used their walking frames for the part where Dink walk be pulling back the string, but for some strange reason, when they pull back all the way, they'll suddenly appear to face some other direction. It's kind of odd, because there are MORE frames in the peasant animation than the normal bow anim. I would have thought it would just ignore the extra ones. Anyone else have experience with this?

i had the same problem when i was making a morning star/flail/spiked ball on a chain thing but i remember something about doing a freeze(1) line. either that is the problem or solution, or i am just immaginating. but i dont think the problem is the ghraphics. i went back and did it, thinking that seeing the problem and the script would refresh my memory, and it worked fine with the peasant graphics. are you trying to do something else fancy, or is it just the same old bow script? i seriously cant remeber what caused or fixed the problem...

It's pretty much a direct copy of the standard bow script. About the only thing I've messed with is the set of init lines. At first I took them out since this character won't have other weapons, but then I had some trouble with them turning into Dink so I put them back. I suppose that could be related somehow.

Does Dink use the bow as well?... Are you replacing graphics on the fly, in the arm() disarm() procedure for Dink? Is the bow the peasants attack - I'm guessing yes, but my brain's sore at the moment, so please excuse any really idiotic things here... Tell me more as I'm not sure exactly what you're doing.

My experience with replacing graphics is to use the same number as the original slot when things go wrong. Don't know why.

Yeah, that's what had to do. Kind of annoying since I don't feel like making a bunch of bow graphics for this character, though.
