In the old days (and the old board), we had posts with no text, just a subject. [NT] means [No Text] which indicated that there was no need to read that message as it had no text anyway. There were no different styles of viewing the messages (at least not in the beginning), just a list with the posts and replies. [NT] posts were just one-line replies to someone else's message, even though some did a whole thread with [NT] posts alone

The Land of Enchantment...NM. I'm from scottish and british stock with a dash of american indian. Great great great grandfather owned a clothing factory in Britain and great great grandparents worked the land in colorado and nm. Great grandfather and grandfather were sherrifs in texas. We say 'ya'll', wear jeans and boots, listen to country, and well... Where you from and what's it like?

Arr, I'm from the Netherlands, east of the country from a small village (about a thousand people here) and only one way of public transport: the bus (trainstation in a village nearby). We do have an inn and a school though

An inn? Similar to a hotel but nicer or like in a pub or bar? What's a typical day like for the average working man?

Well, it's not that big but you can stay there for the night and eat. It's not a pub/bar, as it more looks like a restaurant + hotel combined, though I haven't been inside there for a long time (it changed owners and such). It's small though.

What time is it there right now? And I'm betting it's pretty country and pretty cold.

It's 12:21 PM here (GMT + 1). And yeah, it still is the Netherlands with our nice Dutch weather and climate And as for the country, it's pretty flat.. even though many people who live here don't see the beauty of that, as we see it all day. Though it has something special, a place where you can look a full 360 degrees without seeing hills..

Hmm, this more looks like an IM conversation than a thread.. how about MSN or an IRC program (or just Trillian )?

I would absolutely love to chat but this is my old computer and I don't think it will load anything new. I don't have trillian but i might get on msn if it doesn't quit on me..My new cptr freezes when trying to get on internet. Sorry.
