Can you change HUD graphics in-game?

I've been messing with an idea, and need to be able to change the entire HUD when a certain button is pressed.

I've tried replacing the sequence with init("...") then calling draw_status() but I'm just getting crashes. Is this something Dink doesn't like or is there a trick to it?

Cheers, took a look at that and worked it out. Not sure why the fix works though.

I basically had to place each sequence into a separate folder, and turn them into dir.ff files. No crashes now.

Big up Skurn for the Fiat tip-off.

only reason i can think of why that would work is that having dir.ffs bypasses the character limit.
