hey there just dropping a line to say that an update in Debian testing not sure what unfortunately, has caused a SEGFUALT on load, quit and restart..

The game will still play, but without the option to save, using the save point in game seems to function.

The editor also, segfaults the error code is -11 from it ..

Id be happy to gather more data, i noticed the the dink mod front end updated, a few days after dink broke.

So maybe this is known of already ..

saving in the editor dose work however and the editor functions fine as far as i can see .... it just quits with a segfualt

This is a bug that was fixed, but not in the 108.4 version.
It was triggered by recent rebuilds.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'll need to upload the fix to Debian
(I need to make another fix, I'll do both at once).
Probably in a few days.

Fix sent to Debian Stretch.

This needs to be validated by the Debian release team, and moved from "unstable" to "testing" after a 5-days delay.

great, i guess it was something easy then, that's always nice, thanks for taking the time i know Debian packing and programming are quite time consuming.

To be Truthful i am very surprised by the response speed for something that is so, hmm outdated, that's not quite the word i want. ... i have been looking at the dink main story and messing with it because of this bug, and i notice it looks very C plus plus, or C in style. would there perhaps be a way or already is a way, to use dink to teach cpp basics, to kids and adults? just a thought ..

DinkC has only a small amount of features contained in C and teaches bad programming practices since it requires goto to do a lot of things.

The update has come down the pipe now, actually i think it was a few days ago ..
