Recently I've been using a wonderful C/C++ compiler on my phone, called CPP Droid. It was a god sent for me, and my friends who don't use computers.
I'm wondering. Is it possible to bring DinkEdit on to a mobile platform?

As for DinkEdit or WDE, it would never happen. FreeDinkEdit would be more feasible since SDL2 supports touch controls and you could put them in there reasonably easily.

And how would one go about doing that? And how would one convince other members to take it up?
I would do it myself but I'm a novice at programming.

Well Beuc had a plan to make an Android version of FreeDink, but I am not sure if that's still going. If he ever releases that, then maybe it would be possible for him to build FreeDinkEdit for that as well.

I proposed something like that to Seth years ago when we were testing "Dink HD" and he ignored the proposal, with Sabretrout being smug about it. I think that a touch screen map editor would be really amazing but Seth doesn't seem to think so.

I'm with you. A touch screen would be a huge improvement for building a Dmod map. And most smartphones are powerful enough to handle the editor without any lag.
