I think you knew this would finally be brought up. I played this and I can't let it go.
whaddya think of this game?

The fact this finally got a thread here fills me with determination.

I played it a little bit. It seemed ok, but didn't really grip me or anything. I probably didn't give the game a fair chance; that's just how sick and tired I am of the early 90s retro style.

It's a brilliantly well designed game. Is it the Best. Game. Ever.??

Anyway, I loved it, it's my type of game. Earthboundy, touching and humorous. But I don't know how I'll get my friends to play it.

That poll was so awful but everyone's salt was great.

On one hand, there were the close-minded who branded the game as indie trash, SJW trash, or whatever else. Then there were the Nintendrones who can't see anything but Nintendo games as the top of the charts because they played something really overrated like Ocarina of Time as a kid.

Then you had the people who didn't realize that rallying is perfectly okay. Lots of people rallied for Undertale but apparently, it was only bad when it was for that game. Even devs rallied for whatever their games were. People even rallied for Super Smash Bros Melee and it lost. So, then people said that bots were being used to vote for Undertale. Really exposed a lot that is wrong with the shallow people at that site.

Yeah, so funny reading the boards during that time!

You're right, it is questionable to let every single person or bot vote without registration etc. and many close-minded people who can't accept change.

Well it is Earthboundy because the creator's favourite game is Earthbound and because he even created a whole new rom hack for Earthbound. So yeah, lots of Earthboundy things in this game.

Same thing. I only have CS:GO, WOW, LOL gamers as friends and they aren't willing to try something new

The Holy Trinity of shit. Except, Counter Strike could be replaced with Destiny I guess. All I know about Counter Strike is that if I ever played it, I wouldn't even come close to defeating a single player.

A friend once bought it for me. I got to rank 2. Then I uninstalled it because it was kind of getting repetitive. (AND THEN I TELL HIM TO PLAY RUNESCAPE AND HE SAYS IT IS REPETITIVE)

He doesn't know repetitive until he gets to Heavensward's end-game and current relic questline. The former is a shallow gear treadmill for slightly-better-than-the-previous item best in slot items where you are only allowed to farm 450 of these things called esoterics per week and you need 990 for a weapon. The drops aren't very high.

The latter is way worse. The first step alone makes you do a bunch of shitty overworld quests called full active time events that have a nearly nonexistent drop rate for these crystals you need for the first form of the relic which is far shittier than anything you should have at that point. You need 18 and I got none before I said duck it and uninstalled for until the next expansion which I do not see coming because everyone's fed up.

The best part about that step is that it's an even worse version of the first step of the previous relic which had you gather 12 extremely low drop rate items from fates and pretty much everyone hated it and the devs apologized, I hear. So, they make it again, but worse, and the director himself said that's the step he'd rather not do.

The director himself admitted he wouldn't want to play his own crappy content. Bye bye, game.

So yes, CS:GO is super fun. In any case. BACK TO UNDERTALE. I LOVE THIS GAME.

I plan on playing it at some point, based on the tiny bit of information I've heard of it. But it's hard to get around to playing all the games you want to when you're trying to make your own.

I use a program called Game Maker Studio. I think Undertale was actually made with the same program, if I'm not mistaken. There's a free version you can try out too.

I went through and got the true pacifist ending. Then i just left it at that, cuz i'd like to keep my soul thank you very much.

Exactly. I finished the true pacifist route yesterday and I was happy with what I did. I kind of felt sorry that (SPOILER):
when flowey was actually nice and said that resetting the game would change everything, it really made me think. So I just uninstalled it and left everything the way it was

Still, yeah. The biggest fault with that game is that you can't really play it again after that unless you want to kill everyone. And, really - do you?

I hadn't re-opened it, but Barry and Ross did on Steam Train but I forgot what he said.

Giving you a reason to not reset it weird though. It was clear that Flowey didn't want you to win and the true final boss explained why, so.
