Is it just me...?
Is it just me, or are Dink Smallwood's sound effects really loud? If I turn the volume to where the punches and other sounds are about the right volume, I can barely hear the music. If I turn the volume to a level where the music is pleasant and audible, the sounds blare loudly... It's quite the conundrum. Does anyone else have this problem or am I alone in this regard?
And if so, would a sound pack of the original sounds except quieter be something people would find worth downloading? Either way I'm probably going to end up making such a pack for myself, but I can release it on here as well if anyone else thinks such a thing could be nice to have.
Edit: on second inspection it's not quite as bad as I thought, though the sounds do still seem a bit too loud, especially hitting things.

The music are just MIDIs while the sounds are WAV files. I don't know which OS you're running but I remember that in windows XP you could simply change the volume of MIDIs by setting the 'SW synth' level. After windows XP the MIDI level has pretty much been fixed so it's rather hard to change it. But I am guessing that it's more likely that the MIDIs are too soft than that the WAVs are too loud.
Great, you are right, thanks a ton! I thought I never noticed the volume being off a long time ago, but that I was just crazy. As it turns out, my SW Synth volume was set very low and that's why my volume seems off now. Now I have it turned it all the way up.
Phew; so much better, thank you Metatarasal.
