Where do Lyna and Milder live?
I mean, I always envisioned Ethel as more of a lonely old woman who instead of cats has decided to get a duck. Where else could they live? In the fields with the pillbugs perhaps? Or do they share beds with Smilestein and Libby? Though that would be pretty awkward...
Any ideas?

Milder's probably staying with the royal guard somewhere.
Lyna... Lyna, uh... Houseboat? Or perhaps she's apprenticed to the herb boot guy. That's why she's so intangible, she's constantly running errands to PortTown and back.
Also, Milder's old house must have burnt down. This ties in with the "Martridge burned Dink's house" theory; he does that to everyone he thinks has some kind of potential. Later, Mr. Smilestein planted crops on top of where Milder's house used to be, only to be plagued by Milder's old pet that survived the fire, the talking pillbug that also happens to be kind of a dick.

Nice theories, I can get behind those. I wonder whether Milder walks all that way mostly to spend time with Lyna or to tease Dink... (probably the latter)
I recall there being some houses that are locked in Windemere, perhaps he used to live amongst them and would swim across the river to visit and tease Dink?
Milder was an athlete. He could probably jump clean across that gap.
Milder lives in a special kind of world, called an RPG world. In an RPG world only characters who stay in their house actually have a house. That's also why you never see a character leaving their house, they're afraid to lose it! There are speculations that even some characters who do stay at home lose their house, unfortunately there is no way to verify those rumors.
