Hi,

I've submitted application for a SourceForge project (short name 'dink', long name 'The Dink Project'; the latter is subject to change if we come up with a better one

The project will NOT include the files copyrighted by MS, for licensing reasons. These will have to be downloaded separately.

i'm looking at the source code now, and all i can say is one thing : holy sh!t. it's going to take a lot of work to redo the engine. even so, i've been learning a lot of c++ and i think i'll be able to contribute a good deal once the code is cleaned up a little bit

Can't you just wait for a discussion?
I do not see why any of us should take care of a Dink SF project and not anybody else (unless he let everyone become full admins).

Sure, why not. Just fill out the application and you're in! (My idea).

Hey, I saw the idea several times on the forum, and not always mentionning SF.

Anyway, a CVS system is not the answer to all problems, and usually projects use CVS when there is something stable to play with, not some source that need complete reorganization

merlin, my apologies-- I had missed your posting. Is your project up already?
I got confirmation that mine is up and running now; I could upload the files
as soon as I get home.
I will be in IRC ASAP, so that we can discuss things there.
I don't desparately want to control a Dink project, far from it. We should
use one of our SF projects at this point and remove the other one.
