What's the last movie you saw?

I just saw Django Unchained. It was so awesome. Though I knew it would be before I watched it because it's a Quentin Tarantino movie. And every Quentin Tarantino is awesome. So what about you?

Pulp Fiction, for the millionth time or so. Yes, Tarantino's movies are awesome.

Them! from the 1950s. I whole-heartedly recommend people to watch older original stuff, rather than the regurgitated bile that's terribly prevalent in cinema nowadays (whether it's remakes or re-launches of old franchises)

Pulp Fiction is amazing. Probably my third favorite Tarantino movie.

Them! from the 1950s

I have not seen that. Probably because I don't tend to have any interest in really old cheesy sci-fi flicks. Though every now and then I get a craving for Mars Attacks. 'Cept that's 1996.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Hmm. From what I've read it sounds interesting. I quite like anime, though I tend to only watch series and movies of said series. Right now I've been really into Shingeki no Kyojin. I mean seriously. Giants eating humans for fun and humans flying around with cables like they're spiderman trying to kill these sadistic titans. It's some crazy awesome stuff man.

Tears of steel.

I'll have to watch it again to try to make sense of it, though. I think I mostly understand what their universe looks like now, but I'm still not entirely sure. Elephant's dream was worse in that respect, though.

It's the latest open movie made by the people behind Blender. They made several short movies (10-15 minutes each). I liked Sintel better, but all of them are quite impressive (especially knowing that they were made with Blender and limited funding, AFAIK).

This is the first time they have been mixing real footage with animations.

Was is good?

They're all free to download, so judge for yourself.

YouTube channel, it's under "recent uploads" (and also under "popular uploads").

FLCL (Fooly Cooly), while not a movie, it's a short series of OVAs that are very weird and hyper while telling an excellent story about a boy growing into adulthood.

I thought FLCL was about how people without brains can pull robots and unbreakable guitars out of their heads. Huh, guess I missed the deeper meaning there.

It takes a few rewatches and a lot of discussion to understand it.

I'm not a huge fan of Jack Black. Though I did enjoy some of the movies he's had a major role in.

School of Rock
Tenacious D in the pick of destiny
Bernie
Be Kind Rewind

Other than those four, I either haven't seen or hadn't enjoyed the others.

Me neither, but I did watch the Nostalgia Critic's reviewof it recently. *shrug* Nothing special, except for the T-Rex parts. That dino made the whole movie too, actually.

I have seen this, though I don't remember much of it. I remember them always singing songs to keep track of how much time they had, but that's about it.

Nostalgia Critic. Love 'em!

Oh, last movie I saw... Um... Hrmm... I think it was The Secret of Nimh. Pretty good Don Bluth movie (director for The Land Before Time).
