I don't have the patience for it.
Now, I'm writing a dink fan story series or whatever... I've written a "more complete"(I guess) version of the game's original storyline and will write new non DMOD based ones... Is this a thumbs up?
EDIT:
I'll upload them after I finish 3 more stories.

Love! True love!
Is there any chance you could post an excerpt from the game's adaptation? Claims of Dink novelizations have been brought up enough that they don't spark up too much excitement in me. In terms of fanfiction though, go for it. Making D-Mods isn't everyone's medium for storytelling, but you can still deliver the experience through actual writing. Good luck.

I've written it on paper for now. I'm not used to writing on my PC. I never get into "the mood", I guess. I'll post a picure of the story after a while. Just so you know I've actually written it...

I think I'd be more inclined to work on dmods if I wrote the stories out in advance. I was never too fond of creating major elements. The most fun I had was creating all the little pointless scripts. I also seem to enjoy detailing screens quite a bit. The biggest problem I have is starting off. Once I get a few story checks down I feel more inclined to work on it. I'm sure this is common for most everything though.

Is there any aspect to dmoding that you enjoyed doing? Before you give up for good, take a day to script out a few story checks and just anything major. If you need help, you have the community.

The only part I liked was thinking up storylines. I may start again... Not anytime soon...

I'm not uploading that photo anytime soon... But, here's an excerpt from my second story! I'm only halfway finished with it so no title as yet.
Story:
It was just another day for young Smallwood, a hero to be. 8 years of age, spending time with his adoring father and mother. His mother was the town's only healer and his father, Jeremiah Smallwood, a great hunter known far and wide. They lived in the humble village of Stonebrook under the rulership of King Daniel. The village was the ideal place to raise a son, thought his parents. Who moved in from the city of Kernsin 5 years ago. Just outside the village there were lush forests with every variety of fruit in the land, and the only one with an Alk nut tree. The lore has it that the fruit and leaves of that tree could be used for sorcery and to ward off evil. Though, the progressive villagers of Stonebrook disregard the lore for magic of any sort was unheard of.
Dink and his father went to the forest regularly for hunting purposes. Dink watched and learnt from his father, the great huntsmen. On one such excursion, Dink and his father came across a rather strange beast. The body of a lizard, with a flattened face and made the sound of a bull. It was also very large. "This will be my finest catch", thought Jeremiah Smallwood. He sent Dink home and ran after the beast. Dink wasn't too keen on going home, though. He secretly followed his father but, kept a good distance. Dink lost sight of his father during his little chase. He also reached an unfamiliar part of the forest. Dink did not know what to do. And so, he did what most children would do. He cried. He wept and wept and fell asleep eventually. When he woke up, he was in someone's house. He look around and saw someone sitting next to the fireplace. The man stood up and noticed that Dink had awoken. He smiled and said, "Hello, young lad. My name is Seth... "
^ The rest of the story is about Dink and his father's adventures. It's the story of how magic regained it's place in Dink's land. It also explains the origins of Dink and his father. It'll jump from Dink to Jeremiah frequently... And I don't remember if Dink's dad's name was mentioned so correct me if I am wrong. I also have a bit of cleaning up to do before I upload. So... How is it'

I was kinda hoping for a "Yeah, it's great. Keep writing" or "No, you should write something else".

It's short, but I actually like what you're doing with the lore. It would work fairly well as some sort of prologue

Keep it up, being creative and sharing it is one of the highlights of the internet imo.

Okay, I just wanted to make it known that I'm still doing this. It's gonna be finished before next year, atleast. I've written that last one too now, and I've made both of the stories longer and with more detail.

If anyone wants me to look over their story for their DMOD, to make sure there are no grammatical errors with dialogue and to point out inconsistencies, among other things, I'll happily do it.
