Finding MIDIs, MP3s without Aural+
So, I need a place to find some MIDIs I need.
I need a MIDI of the battle music in Chrono Cross (Don't worry, it fits the situation), the Back-Up theme in Resident Evil 4, and the save theme in Resident Evil 4
I have found some MP3 files of these ones, but since I want everyone to enjoy my D-Mod fully(
), will they work even without Aural+? Because one of joshriots D-Mod's had MP3's but it worked with the standard Dink.exe
I could of course say something like "Aural+ is recommended" but most people will be lazy
Is there anything I can do?

Well my d-mod has "Aural+ required" attached to it
But I don't think there's much you can do aside from converting the MP3 to .wav which would inflate the file size.

Will I play it as I play a normal midi? Like:
playmidi("<insertreallycoolmp3here");
I would like to add MP3s to my Dmod, and I guess I could, but I can't play any Dmod with Aural+ on my PC so I wouldn't be able to test it any way. This also means I can't play other peoples mods that need MP3s, otherwise I'll have no game music. For some reason whenever I try to use Aural+ on my PC, it only plays game sounds(As in the sounds loaded in start.c with "loadsound"), Mp3s and midis will not play when I use it, and I've never been able to figure out why. It works on my laptop, but that is running windows XP. I have windows seven on my PC.
It works just fine on my pc,it also has win7.Well.....if you don't include the frequent crashes.
So, I play it like a normal midi, with the playmidi command?

In aural+ that's the way you do it yes
Some MP3s have trouble playing though, if you encounter that, you need to simply create a new audio file in Audacity for example and copy/paste the audio track of the MP3 into the new one. It only happens rarely though.

Oh shoot, I didn't D-Mod today because it was Eid and I forgot to do the D-Mod. Oh well, I'll do twice the work tommorrow. Thanks for the info

How about you include MIDIs as an option, Kyle? The MP3's are probably gonna be asked to be removed anyway.
WHAT!? Mp3s are removed!?
If the .mp3s in my mod are gonna be removed, it will be USELESS!
please staff don't do it!

The overall DMOD's size will be huge with MP3's in it. And copyrighted material etc. That's why dey're removed I guess.
Guys......I'M STUCK! I wannna use a really good MP3, but it will be removed and that will ruin it. And I certainly can't put a 20 MB wav file in it
