It's horrible, really

Really? How? Too cold? Too hot? No good food? Doesn't grow bananas? What?

Ooooh, right, that.
It was recent? Really sorry.

I know many of you keep up with the news, but since iplaydink's original post is so vague, here is a story from CNN detailing what he's talking about.
One gunman killed 80 people? Really?

It happens everyday in Pakistan, but it's so common now nobody notices it

<Insert nobody cares about India and Pakistan and Afghanistan rant here>
Thank you Anonymous. You saved me a ton of time.
It's a sad day it has been for Norway. I live overseas of Oslo on a half-island called Nesodden. I haven't been physically harmed or metnally harmed by this, but I felt the explosion from here. It was a nasty feeling. My condolences to everyone who lost someone yasterday
I don't know about Phoenix though, he lives in Oslo, but I'm sure he's OK.

Hope he's fine.
I remember we were once driving through Islamabad and left. Half an hour later, a bomb exploded there. I can't say how lucky we were.
I hope Phoenix is OK.

I really wasn't expecting Norway to take a hit, this is horrible. They got the guy, Anders Behring Breivik, who dressed up as a police officer and shot at least 84 people on the island Utøya with automatic firearms. Utøya lies close to Oslo. He went on for almost two hours before someone got the police there.
They also found undetonated explosive charges on the island in a car that likely belongs to Anders. He most likely had connections to the bombings in Oslo.

I'm glad you're okay GlennGlenn. I was traveling yesterday and didn't hear about this until my uncle told me in the evening. What a tragedy, and for such a peaceful country. I hope this will be the last incident you have of this kind.
This tragedy is great - beyond belief. No one should be subject to such tragedy for having an opinion.

If that's based in fact, man, talk about a nightmare come true.

That's indeed scary. One man killed 80 people? He earned himself a one-way ticket to Hell as soon as he dies.
Most of them where young too.
He attacked the AUF camp, which is the youth organization for the labour party in Norway.
And they say he was a very religius guy. I guess he figured he was gods right hand, and it was his mission... F****ng zealots.
It's like something out of a horror movie.
But I have to be honest with you. As much as I find it disturbing and sad what happened, I would like to be able to see some other news than just about Norway, as well. I mean, not taking anything out of what happened in Norway or anything, it's just annoying to not know about anything else.
