I'd support the gaming industry, if it wasn't a pile of shoot these days. Nothing but grass-holes in the gaming industries these days, who don't put their hearts and souls into making games.

I disagree. Some games are pure crap, but what's the difference today and, let's say, 20 years ago? Blergh.

There were crappy games in the past. There are much more crappy games now.

Well obviously since the gaming industry is much bigger now than before. There's also many good new games. Who could forget this "Classic"? McKids!. lol.

Most games these days don't even come to the level of McKids.

I can only think of I-fluid. That game sucked. And the new Aliens vs. Predator, boring slow-paced game. And they're prolly not close to M.C Kids.

Many new games by EA based on movies usually sucks though. ^^

Let's see, we have Portal 2 coming up, which isn't going to be good. Although it will be one of the best in recent times, cause it actually shows some heart from the creators. F.3.A.R will most likely be a disappointment, and I'm not even looking forward to it. That reminds me, F.E.A.R. 2 was horrible, as were the latest SvR games. GTA IV was a perfect example of graphics and physics before anything else, and then there's GTA V coming which is most likely going to be the exact same thing.

Yeah, pretty much any game these days, in fact. Anything that's come even close to great these past years is RRR.

Pretty new games I enjoyed include L4D, Heavy Rain and Little Big Planet (denying LBP have a heart is heartless).

L4D... ewwwww. Heavy Rain, never heard of it so I'm not gonna comment about that. Little Big Planet seemed good at first, but nah. Well, at least it has some traditional gaming style. But don't deny that you're only saying it's got heart because you think it's cute.

I thought LBP was a bit slow in the beginning but it got better the further in the game we came. Played through the whole game with my girlfriend, who loved it a lot (we recently completed LBP1 so we're going to continue with LBP2... I hope it is as good as the first).

I'm a nintendo fan, but I think 3DS won't go far. I want Wii2.

Games don't have to be from the big mainstream companies to be good, there's lot's of good indie games.

Two I've been playing recently are World of Goo and Trine, both of which are great
You can get Trine from here at the moment if you like, too.

Heavy Rain is the best game of this generation hands down

I loved LBP and am playing LBP2 currently off and on Trine was great too, especially co-op. And Braid.

Indie games ftw. World of Goo, Trine and Braid are ownage. You also have to play Super Meat Boy.

Hmmm, yeah game industry is dying.

Those who don't get paid for making games (such as Dinkers) make the best games these days. Back in the days, money didn't effect everyone, but nowadays money corrupts the game creators, just like everyone else. Those who create games and don't get paid for it, don't create them for money, but because they love creating games, and they put their hearts and souls into creating them.

It's certainly not always the case, Skull. That description fits the small indie companies well, and they make some of the best games.

And you're referring/comparing to? There is no such thing as "Today's games", the gaming industry also has to evolve and develop, right? They can't stick with SNES-like technology to this very day, just 'cause the games back then became so popular and recieved high ratings. Angry Birds and Starcraft 2 also got high ratings and they're like 2010's Super Mario World and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

I remember the good ol days picking up elder scrolls arena and other such titles nut a really bad game to me was modern warfare two I hadn't played a fps since darkest of days and the fps style seemed to be revamped to me just saying.

I have bought Borderlands GOTY instead by downloading...and now i've got DNF Demo for free and not only that i will also get the upcoming DLC for free. SUCK IT DOWN!

and piracy of SF4 made Capcom NOT to release Super Street Fighter 4 on PC. So we've had to wait long time to have a Arcade Edition on that platform.ABOUT 1 YEAR...I was so goddang hyped to play as Guy or Juri. But no the piracy just ruined it.

I didn't mean it quite that way. I meant you get all online features (CoD, Bf, WoW etc.), more support in some games and if you're using game platforms like Steam you can play your games anywhere and always get great downloading speeds.

EDIT: Yeah, what if everyone downloaded pirated games? Companies gets scared to release games and it's all your fault.
