How much?
I was just Wondering, How much Support will The dinkers Give to a MOVIE? A movie, in which Dink plays the leading role, the whole thing fully run by the Windinkedit phenomenom and the C-Scripting Mechanisms. ?
EDIT: nvm.
You mean a movie in-game? Pretty sure it's been done somewhere.

No, but I won't hinder this project either.

Not a bad idea, like you make a movie, "dink smallwood in and as The Superman"
But i think giving choises to the viewer on-screen with altering and different stories for each choice would be nice. like the goosebumps. you end up where you have chosen. multiple varying endings, a lot of cutscenes, a medium of choices.
but it would be boring without random fighting. Stories arent just enough to bring the nerves on fire

You're saying no gameplay, just one giant cutscene right?
I'm all for it, as long as the story is good
I love machinima^^

Sounds like a good idea, but you'll have some problems with it too. For starters, a "movie" demands Voiced dialogue, and getting different people to voice each individual main character of importance. Maybe some non-important NPCs can use the same people occasionally, but thats what makes a basic and propper movie.
This of course, would take TONS of filespace with all the Sounds, and Dink only supports so many .wav files for Sound effects.
Other than a few other simple problems with complex sollutions, go for it. Sparrowhawk & Pillbug's Savebot Massacre is a short trailer/movie made in WDE, maybe make a continuation on it.
One thing I'd suggest is making several short Dmods to create a movie, if you mean something like a feature length film, and then have each one play through while recording it and adding the Voices to the video files before sticking 'em together on the Timeline in order. After that just save the file, zip 'er up, and away you'd go. The staff would accept it after all, there's already a couple of .avi files uploaded by SimonK.

So wait, it's a MOVIE movie? couldn't you make one with Flash and post it on NG or something?
I'd love to be a voice actor if we create the original Dink Smallwood game into a movie.

Voice acting? Sure, count me in. Although I doubt this project will come to fruition unfortunately.

That I would watch. And I would love to provide some shrieking female sound effects when Dink randomly attacks people.
....Or we could just use the Gummy Bear from Robot Chicken. (See 6 flags thread)

We could use the Dink engine, but I think a nice rework of some of the details is in order. Specifically, the screen scrolls with Dink instead of all action being confined within small squares that only scroll when you hit the edge (one of the cons I have listed for myself on making D-mods.)
It could be cool, but difficult to pull off well. Needs a lot of action and movement, no one wants to see an elongated speech cutscene like what you have in most dmods.
