This file contains 15 graphics for use in D-mods.

Each graphic comes with a .txt file with the line to put in dink.ini, which is real handy. The only thing you have to add is the sequence number and frame number.

Bathtub: The graphic is new and looks good. I only wonder how to use this one, since placing it just in a house seems strange, so you would have to make a bathroom to go with it. And to make a bathroom, just to show that the people who are living in the house do take a bath now and then (and not jump into the nearby river or use the well) seems a bit too much trouble to go through.

Bed1, bed2, bed3: These are modified original graphics. These are a nice change, since having beds with exactly the same colour (and size) in every house in a D-mod is a bit unrealistic. We are all used to it, but when you think about it, it is a bit strange that, no matter where Dink travels to, all the houses have the same beds. The same goes of course for every other graphic, like houses and so on, but starting with different beds – only if it is just the colour – seems a good start.

Bookshelf: This is a modified original graphic. This one is great, since the original ones could only be placed at the back wall of the house, but this one can stand in a corner.

Crack1, crack2, crack3, crack4, crack5: These look a bit like the original cracks, but are new and are perfect to use in icy surroundings. I believe 9 Gems of Life used them.

Dresser: The graphic is new and looks good. It looks more like a dressing table to me, but I think this one will add something to a room and, in contrary to the fridge and perhaps the bathtub, this graphic easily blends in with the world of Dink.

Fridge: This is a new graphic and looks a bit cartoonish. But it will well do in a science fiction or high tech D-mod. ( Praise for my 5-second fridge abomination...the world is ending for sure. - Tal)

Snow1, snow2, snow3: These are new graphics and they look splendid. They have been used in Cycles of Evil.

Overall: A nice pack, with some graphics in it that have already proven their usefulness in D-mods.

Hmmmm. A whole bunch of BMPs. Very nice, yes. Let's see, yes there are 15 graphics here, each coming with the suitable script to add to the Dink INI. Very nice, yes. However, there are bad points to this little collection, and the good points are also pretty cool.

Strengths
---------

Well, to start off with there are 15 graphics here. Each one that comes with its own little script lines to add to the Dink INI in order to get them working. VERY helpful indeed. The graphics are very well done, even though there are only 15 of them. Some of the graphics are variations of the others, but these variations can be spotted easily, and, yes, they are very good variations. I felt that it is a small package when zipped up, and can been downloaded quickly, which is very good for those with modems (like myself...) Here's the goods about what I think about each little graphic...

Bathtub - Well, looks like a bathtub, and very much like one. Well done.
Bed1 - A cute bed, looks like a kiddies one
Bed2 - Looks more "grown up" for some reason...
Bed3 - Looks even more like a kiddies bed than bed1
Bookshelf - Looks just like I imagine a bookshelf to look like
Crack1 - Looks like a crack in the cold ice
Crack2 - Looks like ANOTHER crack in the cold ice
Crack3 - Looks like ANOTHER crack in the cold ice
Crack4 - Looks like ANOTHER crack in the cold ice
Crack5 - Looks like ANOTHER crack in the cold ice
Dresser - Looks like a dresser, and very well done.
Fridge - Looks like one of those high tech fridges. Like the one Bill Gates has...
Snow1,2,3 - These all look like the light that you would see if you were using the lantern effect

Weaknesses
---------

The variations on the same graphics are very bad. I think just one graphic would be good. No variations are needed. The fridge actually LOOKS as if it has been drawn, and on a crappy program like paint. Dink graphics shouldn't look like this. Very bad yes. I think all the scripts should be in one txt file, for ease of use, and to make the download size EVEN smaller. There is lots of visibale "grain" on the bathtub, which is very bad, naughty naughty...

Overall
---------

A cute little BMP set, with variations on some graphics it provides, which is clearly not needed. Basically provides some extra graphics to add to your game. Lots of people ALWAYS want new graphics, so I guess you can find a few of these, long wanted ones such as a dresser and bathtub, in this little collection. Well done here, I give it an 8.6

Total - 8.6

There are many useful graphics in this graphics pack. Even though small, it's one of the most useful graphics packs out there, and includes the SET_SPRITE_INFO lines for each graphic so that authors don't have to create hardboxes whatsoever for the graphics by themselves.

This little graphics pack contains a number of useful bmps. Different coloured beds by Dan Walma, ice cracks, and snow mounds by Paul Pliska, plus a bathtub and dresser and fridge (not of much use in your standard DMOD, but for that SIMS redo they can’t go wrong). Best bit is each bmp has an info file about who made the bmp and best yet it’s dink.ini settings already done, ready for slotting into the author’s DMOD.

9.0 out of 10.
