That seems tedious.
A "last post by" column would be simpler.
I suggest that you ressurect the complaints box.
Sometimes I find tiny errors on the site, but am too lazy to e-mail the staff.
The complaint box would ensure that staff members realize and fix errors more quickly.
Users these days won't confuse it with a search box, which is on the left.
