for some reason, none of the dmods ive downloaded except for the ones that were .exe files have not worked. if its a zipped file, it just will NOT WORK. ive tried about 8 different ones. of these were prophecy of the ancients, ed the scv, that warcraft2 game, and more. they dont work.
here's what happens. i open them like normal on the dinkfrontend. i have the "run w/ following dmod" checked. it shows that loading screen.. the one that was used for the original dink smallwood. u know, with the lake etc. then it swhows the title screen which is completely black, and the bottom reads the familiar "v1.06." it's playing the music that the original dink title screen played. also, it makes noises whjen u move the mouse over the area where there should be a start button. if u click when u hear the noise, it says "creating new game" and u fiond urself in the dink world.. only theres no stats or anythign at the bottom of the screen. doesnt show what weapon u have, no health bar, no exp/money counter, etc. black. most of the monsters are frozen in place, or they dont move correctly, dink ios invincible, if u try talking to anyone he acts like theres nothign there, the pillbugs are invincible, and the list goes on. only 3 of them createw a new messed up ghame like that. the others just do nothing.
