Updated Dev File: WinDinkEdit 1.3 Final

While redink has been coding his butt off on the generation 8 version of this beautiful site, I have also been doing so for WinDinkEdit.

None of the people I sent the beta version too reported any bugs, and the extensive testing I did on it didn't come up with any either. If you find any bugs, have and idea's for future updates, or wish to be a beta tester, please contact me.

If you are a developer, or just want to poke at the source code, you may also download the source code (which I have made sure is compatible with Visual Studio 6 and 7). Just remember, you must have the Direct X 7 (or later) SDK installed.

------------Version 1.3 Final updates

New Features/Improvements

-WDE was recompiled with DirectX 9.0 to provide faster performance for those with DirectX 9.0.

-Added updates to Hardness editor, you can now see the current tile bitmap under the hardness (thanks redink)

-Added in editor help text. Press F12 to toggle or toggle in options, and F5 to toggle color.

-Added +/- keys to increase/decrease tile hardness brush.

-Made a few speed optimizations to hopefully help those with slower computers.

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed Bug where is CPU load were to spike to over 98% while in hardness editor, it would cause Windows to send 5 million mouse move commands to WDE causing a huge slow down/crash.

-Fixed Save bug where it would ask you to locate the dink.dat file. Apparently there is some internal code with-in the Microsoft Foundation Classes that handle this. I just by-passed it. (Thanks Simon!)

-Fixed editor number bug in hover sprite info (it was displaying one less than what it really is).

-Fixed bug that would cause the mouse to 'stick' to the map when dragging the map around and the mouse goes out of the map window. (Sorry, I totally forgot about this bug, I meant to look into it before 1.0 Final)

For those who are experiencing crappy proformance.

You may wana try downloading DirectX 9.0, it draws about 7 times faster that any of it's past versions.
