Reply to Non D-mod Dink Smallwood Game

I've been using either old or very old game-making programs lately, mainly RPG Maker XP and Blitz Basic. Just to clarify, I have limited scripting knowledge (On a scale of low 1-10 high, around 3 or 4), which is why I've started to have thoughts.
I am hoping to trying to make a D-Mod of sorts with RPG Maker. Problem is, using the programs that I have available, it won't be a true D-mod that can run off the DFArc.
The storyline I have plotted out so far will start out following the original Dink Smallwood game re-created in RPG Maker. Following the defeat of Seth , the plot will move on to follow a few D-Mods assuming permission is given by their creators to duplicate their story lines.
What I hope to do to make the storylines more authentic is use the original midi files from the d-mods that I use in the game.
I also am investigating whether it is possible to transfer a Dink Smallwood tile sets into RPG Maker, which seems probable (I've tested importing Midi files and various images and tile sets and it works fine).
Finally, I hope to look at making 2d sprites made completely similar to Dink Smallwood sprites (Main Characters and monsters mostly).
What I want from you dinkers by posting up this topic is everyone's thoughts on such a large-scale project will be possible, anyone who can assist with this project, if it will be granted a spot to download from this website and people criticizing me on the fact that such a project seems unnecessary or just comments on it overall.
