In any case, I'd go for something with 2 CPUs or more. Nothing beats the good response your lappy will make because of it. 
Make sure you also get one with a real video card rather than an integrated one - and make sure it's NVidia. That stuff is top-notch.
When it comes to storage space, laptops can't provide all that much. The most I've seen is 200 GB or so (my laptop is now almost a year, so not quite accurate anymore). I'd get an external harddisk next to the laptop if I were you.
