No problem, you don't need to say you're sorry every time you ask a question, just don't ask a huge number at once, type in all CAPS, use huge subject line, or any of those other annoying things. Just asking a quesion is fine, really.
Anyway, like SabreTrout said, there's no official explanation. Presumably it was just an accident with the fireplace.
