This is a funny (well, not at the time) glitch with XP. As most of you users know if you do any major changes in hardware (such as a new MotherBoard, or CPU) the OS will Blue Screen on start-up, but I ran into something really odd today. I rebooted my pc and in the reboot, windows kept locking up on boot. After re-imaging, formatting and trying a fresh install, it just kept locking up...untill I noticed a pattern. The part windows was freezing on was the part where the OS adjusted my video card to 1600x1200 (or 800x600) in setup, and not the regular 640x480 default. Well it appears I dumped the computer enough over time the video card had just bearly unceeded from it's slot (just ever so slightly) that it wasn't making enough contact that it was shorting out and confusing the crap out of windows. Fun eh?
