TrayC
Peasant They/Them

: On special request of TrayC I hereby announce that my D-mod is almost ready - about 99%.

: The title is Dry.

: I guess I can just copy some of the readme.txt:

: History:

: As all (or most) authors, this isn't the first D-mod I created, but it is the first one I finished. Since the first D-mod I started to work on was leaning towards an epic and my programming skills aren't sufficient enough yet to finish that one, I decided to make another one - a small one, with a desert in it.

: While working on this D-mod, the desert turned out to be a funny place - a weird place.

: A place were things aren't always what they seem. And I decided to let go all the presumptions I had about how things should be in Dinks world.

: Dry is the result of that. So don't expect things (humans, objects, music and such) to behave like they should or like you think they should, because they probably won't.

: Don't forget to talk and hit everything because everything is scripted. The only things that aren't scripted are the backgrounds, and the objects that stand too close to another object to have a seperate script.

: Description:

: Dink visits a friend he hasn't seen for quite some time.

: A rather short description, but what else is there to say? Just find out for yourself!

: Version History:

: July 2002: first 9 scripts plus some mapping.

: September 2002: some more scripts, some mapping and modifying graphics and tiles.

: October 2002: rest of the scripts, adding music, modifying some more graphics.

: November 2002: last scripts - some things I have to find out (hence the questions, TrayC ), then beta testing can start.

: Release depending on beta testing.

: No new spells, the boomerang is the weapon.

: As far as size and such (on this date, might change a bit):

: between 9 and 10 MB

: 188 squares

: 28 new sounds

: 95 new midi's (mostly short ones)

: 347 new scripts

: 25 modified tiles

: Mostly modified new graphics, some rather heavily modified, one entirely new: a birdie

: How many graphics? Well, there are now 1943 files in the D-mod, so that's 1943 minus sound effects, midi's, scripts, tiles and other files, so that's about... what? 1200, 1300, 1400 modified graphics? I lost count... There are only a couple of graphics used in Dry that aren't modified.

: Well, is your curiosity satisfied?

OMG!! I am impressed . 1400 modified graphics!! That is amazing! Can't wait. Keep us informed.
