Ok, that was one of the things I DIDN'T hit in frustration before 
. However, that only yielded a MAGIC potion. I'm still short 100 gold (either spent it somewhere I shouldn't have...doubt that tho...or have missed some other money somewhere) and do not have the last potion from the witch.
I am under the assumption that getting all the weapons and $$$ for the potions will grant me access to the rune stone north of town, where I can obtain more $$$ for the spells (I know of a burnable tree on an island south of town, but I do not have the $$$ for the fireball spell).
