Any fool can use a computer. Many do.
: : Blender is primarily a 3D program (it does have a sequence editor function that lets you manipulate both still images, avis and 3D files), so unless you are using a 2D image to create a texture on a 3D object I'm not certain what you are trying to do.

: Perhaps I am trying to do that. I downloaded Blender, and I thought I could import (or even copy/paste) a .gif of an animation or just a simple 2D graphic into the programme and then, by a simple mouseclick, 'make it' into a 3D. So that you can rotate the image and look at it from 360 degree angle.

: Does this sound dumb? I'm just getting started with it...

This sounds dumb You can use Blender/Anim8or to create a 3D object, which you can rotate and look from different angles. Then, you can render it to create a 2D image to use in the Dink engine. So no, you can't make a simple 2D image 3D with a simple mouseclick.
