If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
To go into the Dark Cave, you'll need a light sword... which you'll get in due time.
And if Jack and Jill are "killed", then the screen should unlock... maybe a small bug? Just try fighting them again, as I haven't heard of this happening before.
