Reply to Hardness for sprites

Okay working on my Epic APEX.
All of sudden I can not make hardness or even sprites in hardness. What is going wrong.
I am on the 6 level now and it is happening only in that area. I used clean ini to get everything correct and even after usingthat it still does not work. Is their a limit on
Hardness or sprites. Even on a blank green grass
putting a stadard tree, won't hard. Even when using E and the stamp to put into the dink.ini
still does not work. I hope I don't have to
replace the hard.dat I will lose everything I have been working on for the last nine months.
I am about 3/4 finished with the dmod.
Please Help.
