OK, here goes then...
* You'll find the purple key in one of the sewers. If I remember correctly, the one behind the white door in level 6.
* Pig feed will distract animals so if you get attacked to much, use some to get a break. The alcohol can be used on the guards in the bar to get some amusing comments.
(Redink told me, I hadn't found that out myself either).
* Pole puzzle: read the note on the bed, talk to the poles and you'll figure it out.
* One part of the death cave which you enter in level 4, another is behind the white door in level 6 and yet there are two more parts which you can find using the rainbal magic in a real world way (again: Redink helped me on that one too).
* The ghosts appear because you've given the book to the barman. The formula he uses will cause the ghosts to appear.
