Stuck in Fiat trying to beat earth knight Drognu

I'm stuck in the underground maze on Drognu trying to get to the earth knight. Walking around and blowing up rocks by igniting the dynamite gets me at last somewhere southwest. I can see another walkway south of me, but the only access I can find that might lead south is blocked by a rock.

Help?!
