after you beat mary and get the sword and all that jazz, you're supposed to go explore town until you run into a ghosted rendition of milder, which tells you not to go back home (but naturally when someone tells you to do something you tend to do just the opposite) so you go back home to find a teleporter in your room. feel free to contact me if you're still stuck.
