So let me get this straight...

Spain join the coalition, aiding in what is essentially the U.S and U.K against Iraq : "The War on Terror".
Spain are bombed like hell, suffering worse casualties then either of the main protagonists. They are told "We bombed you because you helped the American fellows. Get out our country and we will leave you alone."
So they pull out their troops. And why the hell shouldn't they? It's not like they were in danger until they decided to help the anglo-yank cause.

So, let's reshape that analogy, shall we? If your friend (not a good friend... but a friend none-the-less) gets punched in the face, and he proceeds to get all his mates to come and beat the hell out of the she dog who started it, that's all good. OK.
But then you get stabbed, in a fight that wasn't really to do with you anyway. So what do you do? Risk getting stabbed again, or run and let the rest of your mates finish them off?

The fact is, their would have been NO Madrid bombings if they hadn't joined the coalition. So why can't they pull out of what isn't their war?

I'm not saying these are necessarily all my views... but somebody has to play Devil's Advocate.
