Okay here's an idea... Dink is summoned by King Daniel to go to a neighbouring Kingdom to act as a spy... as war is looming (for reasons unknown - maybe the neighbouring King thought Daniel could do with some exercise).
Dink dies on the way there... but gets resurrected... and the player can choose to come back as a:
a) young warrior
b) apprentice wizard
c) young maiden
Temproarily dispossessing the soul of the body he gets to choose (The Gods are doing this, as they are bored - all done in a beautiful cut scene)
Now the reincarnated Dink arrives back at Castle Goodheart to find King Dan dead, and the land under oppression. So he/she decides to free the land...
And the rest is the tasks need for Dink (or whatever new name is needed) to rise up through the ranks of
a) Soldierhood
b) Wizardry
c) Feminie ways [choose what you want for that, spy, combination of warrior and sorceress, succubus...
)
In the End if the Player is successful Dink becomes King/Queen...
And the DMOD is called "Resurrection"
