I will explain the HTML on the board if I may.
I added this into the scripts back when I had access to the dynamic4 server for admin reasons. I found that a lot of times when we wanted to post news and such, we wanted to use HTML (such as to change text color, insert blockquotes, whatever) and when we tried to do it, we just made a big mess in the news entry and on the board entries. So I gave staff the privilege to be able to use HTML outside of the bounds of the HTML filter that the standard user is applied to. This is not to give the staff any special rights to abuse, but to make our life easier and make the news posts a little cleaner and easier to read when we felt it necessary.
