If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
As far as I know, there are no problems with the script. The only thing it does (before the choice menu with the D-Mod Author comes) is checking some variables but that's only because I re-used the same script on some other screen. There's nothing else in the script that could possibly deny Dink talking to him..
When you enter the screen with the D-Mod Author for the first time, it should give you a cutscene, does it do that?
If you still have the problems, you could send me the savegame you used which caused this problem. I could try if I can find out what's going on.
