Check for the various tutorials and files in the development section. Make sure to have DinkC Reference V3.1 by Ted Shutes, and WinDinkEdit by WC and Gary Hertel for easy map-editing. Start with checking the tut1.txt included with the main game. Oh, as a DinkC-editor, Notepad is Ok. However, I use EasyDinkC by Alexander Schroeder for script-writing.
