You will need to reload from a saved game, as the witch makes the poison - you will need certain ingredients for it - all can be found, though you can buy some of a high price from the Man who sells "needful" things - loved that Stephen King reference 
Oh... and there is a pile of gold which gives you an enormous amount (shall we say 400,000) plus 50 defense (It was an author help thing that he has accidently left in - find it now before it gets removed in the next patch
