Any fool can use a computer. Many do.
Ok, I merged the previous four blogs into one, as they're fairly small and there's no need to have them as four seperate blogs. They're still here so the people who are interested can read them All times are GMT.

Blog: Title 'n Info
Created: Mar 22nd 2003, 06:15 PM

I hereby announce the title of the epic D-Mod I'm working on:

World of DinkC

There are still lots of things to do before it's finished (like parts of the adventure and the midi) but most of it is already done

The description of the D-Mod (as in readme.txt) : A scripting error distorts the world, leaving many people behind in chaos and disarray...

Dink finds himself in a dying world and without exactly knowing what's going on, he travels in a search for answers..

What to expect:
- Nice decorated screens
- Many NPCs during your adventure
- Original adventure/quests
- Wonderful puzzles
- Epic D-Mod

I just realized I have many NPCs/places without a script... Anyway, I happen to have a new computer (for a few weeks now) and I didn't really work on my epic these days. I still have to move the files of my D-Mod to the new one so then I'll start working on it

Hmm, perhaps I should announce the title of the D-Mod someday...

Blog: Advancing The Puzzles
Created: Feb 21st 2003, 06:44 PM

In my previous blog, I said there would be at least one advanced scripted puzzle in the game.. There are two of them now I've made another puzzle for y'all to solve.

Even though it shouldn't be that hard to solve, there's more as it also shows what's possible with the Dink Engine. Don't expect another Dinkanoid but it's a nice puzzle anyway It's probably also the largest scripted puzzle, it's 47 kB and it works (still need to fine-tune it and add more code).

"U-hh... w-what happened?"

Blog: Upcoming Epic

Well, as some of you guys might know (see my account), I'm working on an epic. It's a long adventure/RPG and takes some time to finish (the part I've already done takes about a few hours to complete).

I won't reveal that much of the game but you can expect an original story, nice quests, and the map is filled (just like my first D-Mod Once in a Lifetime, there aren't really any open spaces and every screen has nice details).

"Hey, you said the game has an original story.. what's the story?" Nah, I'm not gonna tell ya the story now, but I'll give a hint:

DinkC

Go figure

Oh, and did I say there's (at least) one advanced scripted puzzle in the game, so if you didn't get the well puzzle in Once in a Lifetime.. have fun
