I want to mention, that since the new official freedink maintainer isn't really doing anything at the moment...
Anyone wanting to play FreeDink on Linux should check out ghostknight aka CRTS' repo for it over here: https://codeberg.org/crts/freedink
He also has a forum post here where he talks about the various fixes he's added. The most important ones (in my opinion) being:
- fixing a critical error in passing arguments when using the external DinkC function (this lead to gamebreaking bugs in DMODS like Charlie's Legacy)
- fixing some annoying SDL message spam in the debug logs
So anyone wanting to use FreeDink on linux, right now your best option would be to build it yourself starting from CRTS' repo.
