Blushing is a natural reaction. It happens for various reasons, it could be embarrassment or shyness. However, if you're not the kind that gets embarrassed easily, then you could be experiencing attraction for another person, which believe me when I say this, can indeed cause blushing.
Blushing, I believe, happens when more blood comes into your skull, likely to enhance cognitive functions. In the case of embarrassment, it helps you focus your mind to attempt to deal with the situation via the fight or flight mechanic of the mind.
In cases of shyness, it's a similar feeling. Shyness is typically a reaction of people who do not often speak with other people face to face, and generally don't want to be around them. (Fight or flight, again.)
Attraction, in which you notice something about another person, can cause a whole bunch of interesting effects within the body, such as increased heartbeat, nervousness, shyness, a tendency to blabber on about unimportant things, and in the case of sexual attraction, that lovely little man reaction we call a boner.
In any case, don't worry. It means you're still growing and learning about the world, (and regardless of who it is, I ship it.)
