I did. There didn't seem to be a nice way using sprite 1 (your solution would work, but it's very far away from what I'd call nice.
) So I just sp_nodraw'd sprite 1 and created a new sprite with the repeat brain (is that 9?) and without a base_walk. Not too nice either, but nice enough.
