Actually, Pred, the Romans, who were not Christian, but followed a religion similar to the Greeks, were the ones who crucified criminals. You know, murderers, rapists, those kinds of people. It was the religious leaders of the Jewish community that despised Jesus for claiming to be the son of God. Basically, what happened was they arrested Jesus on false charges, Pontius Pilate, the man who allowed the crucifixion, didn't do anything to stop an innocent man from being killed, and the people who gathered were unaware of the truth, aside from the Apostles.
Reading helps, as it allows you to make halfway decent arguments.

Also, if the truth is not overrated, then why do you blatantly disregard it when someone gives it to you? (Not related to the previous tangent, but in general. Meaning in every topic you post in.)
