Ren and Stimpy is a pretty great show, but certainly isn't for those who don't like dark and sometimes even a little vulgar humor. Unfortunately the new episodes after it left Nickelodeon ruin everything. It just turns into another South Park show with almost nothing but it's vulgarity to drag it along...and no, I don't care much for South Park. To be fair, South Park might even be more enjoyable than the new Ren and Stimpy episodes were...
As for Happy Tree Friends, I don't think I've ever watched it (unless I saw it when I was really young, I don't remember), but I've seen tiny clips of it (such as the intro). It looked pretty terrible and did not catch my interest at all.
