PCs will never defeat consoles.
Some game developers don't like designing their games for PC because everyone's computer is different and has different equipment, so they know some people wouldn't be able to enjoy their games. But they know exactly what consoles are capable of. There's slightly more of a market in consoles.
And it also goes back to cost. Not everyone is rich. A decent gaming PC can cost nearly $1000 while a console is $500 or less. Consoles these days can do most things a PC can do. So people would buy a console over a PC.
