No, the Story of KrisKnox begins with darkness against light, the black against white. Ink against Paper. It is the story of a Writer, who is targeted by a being beyond his world, his multiverse. Possibly all of existence.
Perhaps this being is a manifestation of his greater fears, or perhaps it takes the form of those fears. All he has to defend himself with is a pen, paper, and the notion of a hero beyond his world. But his story is not complete, it is still ongoing. It is tied with fates of seven other worlds.
Unlike the Heroes he writes about, he is utterly unprepared.
