Over the past years, I found many strange games that barely anyone knows about, but I find them very enjoyable. I started this thread so we can share all the weird games we found out about. (I'll try to not give away everything I know, yet.)
The first one I'll tell you about is this BYOND game called "Space Station 13"(SS13). It's very hard to explain, but basically it's a online multiplayer game that revolves around the ideas of unique "rounds" and player input. Each round has it's own agendas, jammed full of random events (e.g. meteor showers, radiation waves, biological disasters) and specified objectives for small groups of players. (e.g. Wizard, Traitors, Revolution, Changeling, Aliens, Syndicates) Everyone else gets thrown into the fray with some kind of job. (e.g. AI, Captain, Chef, Janitor, Robotics, Genetics, Assistants, etc.) Sometimes the admins will throw in things if they think a round is getting boring. When the round ends, the station resets and a different mode is chosen. Whatever happens in a round relies on what the players do with some more of the weight shifted to those given specific objectives relating to the mode.
It's very difficult to explain EVERYTHING about this game, hence there is a wiki. If you want to know more, take a look at that or go watch one of PlumpHelmetPunk's videos about SS13.
Now it's your turn to share!
