Technically, yes. Which is, of course a ludicrous notion since at the very basic level women and men are incapable of fulfilling identical roles, purely from a physical point of view; add psychosocial points of view to that and the variables billow out exponentially.
This is where we may mark the difference between "Multiculturalism" and the ever-looming threat "Mediculturalism". The chief difference being that multiculturalism celebrates individuality whereas mediculturalism tries to compress culture to its' lowest common denominator, queue 1984.
