But seriously: It is the right of anyone to go over someone's head to their boss/administrator if they believe that they were dealt with unfairly. It's just like if you get a lousy waiter in a restaurant giving you a hard time, you can complain to their boss. The boss can decide to side with you or them, but it's still your right to bring it to their attention, if you feel strongly enough about it.
It's not always best to just give in, sometimes you need to fight for what you want.
Just remember one thing, Skull -- sometimes even an opinion can hurt, especially when you are fond of what's being criticised. I am not saying you were wrong to express yours, but I think you would wind up in a lot less arguments if you could keep in mind what your opinions might make others feel.
